The Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI) Ghaziabad is evolving as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in ‘Counter Terrorism, Counter Insurgency, and related issues.’ The objective of the CDTI Ghaziabad is to train in-service police officers from the rank of Sub-Inspectors to Dy. Superintendents of Police (DySP) to enhance their skills in emerging technologies and improvise their ways and methods of crime investigation in India.
The capacities of the trainees are built through offline/online/hybrid courses by experienced in-house and guest faculties.

Classes and knowledge sharing sessions are conducted both online and in person by training persons and experienced officers who understand the system, national and international laws as they have handled complex cases in their long careers. The launching of this official website will enhance the accessibility and the visibility of the various capacity building activities undertaken by the Institute. It is also pertinent to mention that CDTI Ghaziabad over the years has emerged as an accomplished and professional police training institution under BPR&D.

CDTI, Ghaziabad has been conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) courses in New Criminal Laws, i.e., Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 for its client States Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh from 27th December, 2023.

I am confident that CDTI Ghaziabad will continuously improve upon the course design and make the training courses interactive and trainee- friendly. The new website would go a long way in achieving the goal of imparting quality training to police officers and other stakeholders. I would value the feedback of the State Police Organisations and the Central Police Organisations to further improve the contents of the courses conducted at CDTI, Ghaziabad. I wish the Director, CDTI, Ghaziabad, and all the staff members the very best in all their future endeavours.
